Cornerstone Virtual Instruction
Program Description
The Illinois Fire Service Institute is adapting our
traditional face-to-face course deliveries by offering
online virtual training for essential firefighting
skills. The online classes are supported through the
Cornerstone Program and are available at no cost to
students, or departments.
We will continue to develop this virtual training
series and will add courses to the schedule, as
available.
The courses are delivered through the Zoom Web
Conferencing System. This is a user-friendly
communication platform and free to download.

If you wish to obtain a Certificate of Attendance for the course, the following is required:

Zoom Signup
- YOU MUST join the zoom virtual classroom by logging in with YOUR ZOOM account after clicking on the link to the virtual classroom (we use the Zoom Web Conferencing System for attendance/participation tracking).
If you watch as a group, your department will need to provide IFSI with a (full name) roster of all attendees, signed by the Chief or Training Officer, for IFSI to issue Certificates of Attendance. Only registered participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
All students must attend the full class to receive their Certificate of Attendance. Your certificate will be available approximately two weeks following the end of the course. To receive your Certificate of Attendance, you will need to log-in to your account, via the IFSI website and click on Student Central, then Certificates and Grades.
If you do not login and attend the virtual class using your Zoom account, you will not receive a Certificate of Attendance.
