Program Description

The Illinois Fire Service Institute's Industry Program offers courses to serve industry, small business, government and non-profit agencies.

Course topics include "real life" firefighting and rescue operations, EMS, hazardous materials incidents, and terrorism response, allowing companies to be prepared for virtually any industrial emergency.

To facilitate the training needs of clients in a variety of fields, curriculum is customized to meet specific industrial guidelines and requirements. To overcome logistics problems, courses can be offered on-site at the client's facility, at the Institutes 28-acre training facility on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign, Illinois, or at regional training facilities located throughout the state. IFSI can help companies achieve their long-term training objectives by developing a complete program or simply offering a single course. Because IFSI understands that each client's situation is unique and each training program is unique, we offer customized training and education services that are developed specifically to meet your needs on a one-time or ongoing basis.

The courses taught through IFSI use standards (ISO, OSHA, NFPA 1081, etc.) They are NIMS compliant and can meet EMS CEU. In addition, other corporate standards can be built into each program.
