How do I check my grades and obtain my certificates?
Your student records are available online inside the Resource Center. If you need help logging in to the Resource Center, click here: Resource Center Help.
Once you successfully log in to the Resource Center, you should immediately see any current Online Classes you're enrolled in, any future classes you are enrolled in, and a list of your course history with grades and certificate links. Clicking on any link that says "Certificate" will download a PDF copy of your certificate.
What is the Resource Center?
The Resource Center is the section of the IFSI website that allows you to access your grades and certificates, as well as your online classes, IFSI billing history, and personal information you have on file with us.
How do I access the Resource Center?
To access the Resource Center click on Login in the upper right hand corner of the website. On that page you will be asked to log in. Use your Driver's License number as the username (No spaces or Dashes). If this is your first time logging in, you can use your driver's license number as the password as well. The site will then ask you to set up a custom password. If this is not your first time, use the password the site had you set up.
I'm having trouble logging in, what should I do?
First and foremost, carefully read any error messages you are receiving. If the message is about an incorrect password, try using the forgot password form found here: Password Assistance
If the message says "We couldn't find an account matching that information in our system", make sure that you have entered your Driver's License Number correctly. If you're still having problems, you will need to contact us at (217) 333-3800 or (800) 437-5819 to verify our records are correct.
How do I find courses?
Under the Course Info menu in the upper left hand corner of our website, you will find links to different ways of accessing our courses.
Additionally under the Programs menu, you will find a list of all of our Programs of instruction. Clicking on a program will take you to a page with general information about the program and also a list of courses that are found within that program.
Lastly, you can use the Search button in the upper right hand side of the website to bring up a quick search field that will allow you to search for courses.
How do I enroll in a class?
Using one of the various methods of finding courses should eventually lead you to a schedule of classes. Clicking on a date/location for a specific class should bring up a window giving you more details about the class. From there you can choose to either register online or fill out a paper form and fax it to us.
To register online you will need to fill out a form and provide a Chief's PIN to complete the registration.
What is a Chief's PIN and why do I need it?
To take classes with IFSI we need proof that your department has authorized you to take the training. On the paper form, the chief's signature is that proof. In the Online world we need you to supply the special PIN that we issued your department. If your department hasn't set one up with us, the chief will need to fill out a form and mail it to us. You can find the form here: Fire Chief PIN Authorization. If you have a PIN but have lost it, please contact IFSI at (217) 333-3800 or (800) 437-5819.
