On December 3, 2003, Firefighter Todd “Bubba” Dicks of the Warsaw Volunteer Fire Department suffered a fatal heart attack in the line of duty. Dicks became ill while responding to a traffic accident. He was treated by paramedics after arriving at the accident scene, and was transported to a hospital, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
