Description:	In 1918, the Streator Fire Department was a charter member of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Charles Marx was named as a member of City Fire Fighters Local Union No. 56 on the Streator Fire Department's Certificate of Affiliation. The certificate still hangs in the Streator Fire Department headquarters.
