On January 9, 1919, Bloomington Fire Department firefighter Leonard Elliott died in the line of duty while performing duties at the Newmarket fire on December 25, 1918.
Elliott caught pneumonia as a result of his duties at the Newmarket fire and died a week after the fire.
Elliot had been a member of the fire department for ten months at the time of his death.
