On July 21, 1987, Chicago Fire Department Captain Donald Wilson of Engine 129, 20th Battalion, suffered a heart attack while climbing into a fire apparatus outside the 5th District headquarters. Wilson was taken to Wilson Holy Cross Hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
