Bio:

Mike McCastland joined IFSI in the early 1990s, first as a stoker, then later as a field instructor and teaching at IFSI’s annual Fire College. Mike currently leads two programs for IFSI – the FAST program and Structural Collapse Rescue. Mike was instrumental in the creation and delivery of the first collapse class, which is the model for today’s class and curriculum. As program manager, he is responsible for class scheduling, cultivating instructors and oversight of curriculum and class budget.

Currently Mike serves as a Lieutenant on the Oak Lawn Fire Department where he has been since 1990.
