Bio:Ryan has been teaching Rope Rescue for the Illinois Fire Service Institute since 2006.Ryan served over 22 years as a career firefighter with the Springfield (IL) Fire Department, 2001-2023. Served on the Springfield Fire Department/MABAS 48 Technical Rescue Team for 18 years. 5 of those years as the TRT Leader. Member of the Springfield Fire Department/MABAS 48 Hazmat team from 2005 to 2023. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, as well as an Associate of Science and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science. Certified Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, Arson Investigator, Hazardous Materials Specialist, and Advanced Fire Prevention Officer with the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. Ryan has been a Volunteer Firefighter with the Auburn Fire Department since 2008. |
