Bio:Rich Stack joined IFSI in 2006 and currently serves as the Regional Representative for the Chicago Metro area, which includes six counties. In that role, Rich is responsible for coordinating Cornerstone training and hands-on training with a focus on local resources, including providing support for regional fire schools. He works closely with IFSI to also schedule non-Cornerstone classes.
Rich is qualified in more than 25 skillsets and teaches Structural Collapse, RIT Under Fire, F.A.S.T., Fire College, Smoke Divers, among others. He has taught more than 200 classes for IFSI.
Rich started his fire service career in 1995 with the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company beside his father, Pat, while working as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines. In 2001, Rich enrolled in the Chicago Fire Academy and today serves as a proud member of the Chicago Fire Department. He is currently assigned to Squad 5. Rich has also worked as a part-time firefighter with the North Palos Fire Protection District for about two years.
Rich is continuing his education at Southern Illinois University, working toward a Bachelor’s degree.
