EXP - Advanced Skills Program : 24.00 Hours

Course Description

The Advanced Skills Program expands on the firefighting skills learned in the basic and intermediate programs and will challenge even the most experienced Explorer or Cadet.  Students should have previous experience with live fire training and a competency of essential skills at or above the intermediate level.

Course topics include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of equipment and tactics for rops and knots.
  • High-rise firefighting
  • Transitional attack
  • Auto extrication
  • Standpipe operations
  • Thermal imaging cameras

Multiple coordinated attack scenarios will provide students with challenging advanced level training.  

Required Gear:  NFPA compliant personal protective equipment and SCBA
