On October 30, 1894, Lieutenant Frank Hohenadel of Engine Company No. 62 of the Chicago Fire Department died falling from the engine he was riding on the way to his home on 106th and Pitt Street.
Hohenadel became a member of the Department in 1888 and was made Lieutenant in 1891.
