Incident Safety Officer for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) : 40 Hours

Course Description

This course is designed for emergency medical responders who may be designated by the incident commander (IC) as an incident safety officer (ISO) for emergency medical operations. In this course, the student learns how to monitor for safety concerns at the various types of incidents including Fire, Roadway, Technical Rescue, and Hazardous Materials. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have an increased level of knowledge of critical safety concerns at the scene of incidents involving emergency medical services. The course will prepare EMS personnel to act as an ISO while working within the Incident Command Framework.
