Rooms are available from 8 AM through 5 PM, Monday through Friday excluding University holidays at the normal rates, and access to the rooms is available 30 minutes prior to and following the rental period for set-up and take-down. Rental outside of these hours will include a staff charge to provide access to the facilities. IFSI staff will be present to assist you during the rental period. Rental fees include parking.
All rental prices include support for IFSI computer systems. Support of the video teleconferencing system or computer capabilities beyond resident machines and projectors or outside of regular hours will be assessed at a rate of $50 per hour. Food and drink is not permitted in the computer laboratory. Tobacco use is forbidden on any University of Illinois Fire Service Institute property in any form, including smokeless tobacco and electronic cigarettes. Use of tobacco products will result in an additional cleaning penalty being assessed to the user group.
If food will be served and UI catering is used, there will be a surcharge of 10% of the room rental fee applied. If a different University approved caterer is used, there will be a 20% surcharge for food. Alcohol may ONLY be served through UI Catering with University approval. There is a one hour minimum for space rental. For UI entities, a CFOAPAL is required when space is reserved. For non-UI entities, a 50% deposit is required 30 days before the first day of rental to hold the space.
Cancelations made greater than 30 days out will not be subject to a cancelation fee. Cancelations made less than 30 days but more than 14 days out will be assessed 50% of the contracted rental fee. Cancellations made between 14 and 7 calendar days will be assessed 75% of the contracted rental fee. Cancelations made with less than 7 calendar days' notice will be treated as no-shows, and charged the full amount.
Access to the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute's facilities, activities conducted on IFSI grounds, and the service of alcoholic beverages on the premises shall all comply with the Campus Administrative Manual.
