Bio:

Kurt Glosser serves as the Director of the Curriculum and Testing Office. His job responsibilities include maintaining the integrity and quality of the Institute’s curriculum, supervising the revision of existing curriculum, overseeing curriculum compliance. He also works with subject matter experts to develop new curriculum and assists staff with professional development.

Kurt received his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the Eastern Illinois University in December 2001. He was a Military Police Officer with the Illinois Army National Guard from 1996 to 2004, during which he was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2003 to April 2004. He received his Master’s degree in Education, concentrating in Training and Development from the University of Illinois in 2004. In February 2005 he combined his passion for adult education and his love for the fire service by accepting a full time position with the Illinois Fire Service Institute.

Kurt is a third generation volunteer firefighter and has been an active member of the fire service since 1996. He holds a state license at the EMT - Basic level and Fire Officer I certification. He currently serves as a Engineer and Chaplain for the Savoy Fire Department and continues to advance his training, education, and experience.
