Job Description: Serve as IFSI's representative to the fire departments and organizations for 24 counties in Southern Illinois. Works with and supports the field instructors in the region for Cornerstone and other training.Coordinates the Downstate Fire Officer Program. Professional Service: Retired Fire Chief from Decatur, IL; Served 29 years on the department - 10 years as fire chief. Previously served as an IFSI field instructor, primarily for Hazardous Materials and Unified Command.Received the Certified Fire Chief Designation from the Center of Public Service Excellence. Military Service: Retired from the United States ArmyReserve after 20 years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8). Held several MOS in Administration, Logistics, Transportation, and Operations. Education: Received a Masters Degree in Executive Fire Service Leadership from the Grand Canyon University. Has a Bachlors Degree from Western Illinois University. Received an Applied Associates Degree in Fire Science from Richland Community College. Received an Executive Fire Officer Certificate from the National Fire Academy. |
